molpigs, The Molecular Programming Interest Group, is an international group of researchers interested in topics such as molecular programming, DNA computing, and other aspects of biomolecular nanotechnology. We host regular seminars, poster sessions, journal clubs, send out newsletters, and host a forum for discussion and fostering collaboration.
Hello and welcome to the first issue of the molpigs newsletter!

1. DNA26: The 26th International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming
Register online for the 26th International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming (DNA26). The event will include live and pre-recorded content from speakers and poster presenters as well as interactive Q&A sessions.
Research in DNA computing and molecular programming draws together mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, and nanotechnology to address the analysis, design, and synthesis of information-based molecular systems. This annual meeting is the premier forum where scientists with diverse backgrounds come together with the common purpose of applying principles and tools from these disciplines to advance molecular-scale engineering and biology. The 26th International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming (DNA26), organized under the auspices of the International Society for Nanoscale Science, Computation and Engineering (ISNSCE), will focus on the most important recent experimental and theoretical results.

2. Interested in presenting a talk, virtual poster, journal club, etc for molpigs?
Please send us an email at contributions AT <this domain>
if you have an idea for
- a talk for our seminar series,
- a poster for our poster sessions,
- a paper you’d like to present at our journal clubs,
- an announcement for our newsletter,
- or anything else!
This is not a hard commitment, so even if you’re not sure at this point please don’t hesitate to register your interest!
3. Have some feedback for molpigs?
We’re still looking for feedback on what you’d like to see from molpigs in terms of events, platforms, and anything else! If you have some time to spare, please fill in our form, or join our discord (we will be migrating to another platform when we obtain sponsorship).
4. Interested in helping run molpigs?
We have big ambitions for the future of molpigs, and need your help to achieve them! If you’re interested in joining the initial committee, please fill in the form.
